How booking works
- A 50% deposit confirms your date. For single-day trips, the balance is paid on the day. For trips of two days or more, the balance is due 30 days before departure.
- Bookings inside 30 days are paid in full.
- Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance receive a refund of 50% of the deposit. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable.
- If we cancel or move the date for weather or technical reasons, you are refunded in full.

Questions
Before you head out
Which boat should we take?
Frontino takes up to four guests and is ideal for smaller groups. Galáxia takes eight and Sensei ten, both with a flybridge, galley, lounge, and Wi-Fi. Sensei is the flagship, a 12.9-meter Rodman 1250 with two 500 hp engines.
Where and when do the boats leave?
Frontino and Sensei leave from the marina of Vila Franca do Campo, and Galáxia from the marina of Ponta Delgada (Portas do Mar), both on São Miguel's south coast about 25 minutes apart. Half days run 9–13 or 14–18 and full days 9–17. Sunset departure times vary through the year to follow the evening light.
What should we bring?
Bring light, comfortable clothing, rubber-soled shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a towel, and swimwear. All fishing equipment is provided on board.
Can non-anglers, children, or pets come?
Yes. Because the boat is privately chartered, your group can include both anglers and non-anglers. We also provide activities for children, and well-behaved pets are welcome.
What about seasickness?
Medication is aboard every boat, and the coastal and sunset trips stay in calmer water. If you know you're susceptible, take something an hour before departure and tell the crew.
Do we keep the fish?
Billfish are tagged and released under IGFA rules unless they are potential records, and undersized fish go back. Over 90% of the catch is released; the catch is never sold.
