Our Story

It began with two friends, one boat, and these waters.

Eduardo Lopes and Diogo Paiva grew up fishing in the Azores. In 2015, they started Azores Fishing. Today, they are still at the helm.

Saltwater or freshwater fishing: which is right for me?

Choose the sea for the Atlantic, bigger fish, and private half-day or full-day charters. The lagoons offer lighter tackle, calmer water, and shorter trips, making them a good choice for beginners and families too.

Do I need previous fishing experience?

No. Every trip starts with a briefing and the crew sets up the tackle. None of the lagoon trips ask for prior experience, and on any trip the guide stays with you.

Are the trips private?

Yes. Boats are chartered whole and lagoon sessions are guided for your group alone, with anglers and non-anglers welcome together.

What happens if the weather changes?

We'll always be straightforward with you. If we have to reschedule or cancel because of weather or technical reasons, we'll refund you in full. When the sea says no, the lagoons often say yes.
